keep your discussion topics top end
How do you keep your topics up beat for everyone.
When some students knwo the areas you are teaching. How do you keep them working in class, take notes. I have a few students that just fall of the edge because they have learned this material before. I have to cover these items for the rest of the class.
This is a challenge.You may give them an assignment to teach some topics to their classmates.

It is so hard when we have students who are there unwillingly, especially if someone else is paying the bill. I just try to meet these students where they are & work with them as best I can.

Also some students just want to get by. A few students I have do not care about grades or time they spend at school. They were told by someone you have to go to school.

Granted that's a risk, but I think if you then allow other students, as they progress, to teach this can be an incentive.

We have done this in the past... It does help. Maybe issues that come from this is. Why do these students get to do this, or these students get special training

This is definitely a challenge. If you have a group of students who know the material well enough, you might want to consider having them teach some of the content to their peers. It might keep them more engaged & also be a good review for them.
