Owning Your Instructional Space

As a computer applications instructor, I find that it is necessary to roam about the room to not only ensure student comprehension of the computerized process, but to keep all students on the task at hand.

I think movement keeps students engaged and alert.

What I have encounter especially when instructing in a computer lab is the various labs do not share a common floor plan. Some make it very difficult to roam or free flow, which in itself creates a barrier. I feel frustation when I try to address the students needs.

Sherri,
yes these are both definitely great benefits to instructor roaming.
