Hi Isiah! This is an excellent question. Though repetition is a key teaching/learning technique, students can tune out when hearing the point over and over, particularly if their learning styles are not auditory. I might suggest thwo things:
1) Change the stimulus or pace of your lecture/presentation every seven to nine minutes - ask a question, tell a story, get examples and questions from students, change your voice inflection, incoroporate a mini, on the spot learning activity, etc.; this way you can repeat and reinforce the concept or application, but using different methods
2) Try to incorporate all of the learning styles when making or reinforcing a point - something to hear, something to see (a visual), something to write, something to verbalize, something to engage critical thinking (evaluating and forming an opinion or judgment), and something to do (hands-on/kinesthetic)
