learning groups

Group assigents are liked by averarge or poor students. Good students might dislike it as they feel like they are doing all the work

Having groups they make new friends, exchange phone numbers etc. which helps later on as they help each other and try to work on homework assignments.

I like it George! A perfect way to help students to connect with each other. I think we forget to consider that students are often total strangers and may not be comfortable with interacting without first having the opportunity to learn more about each other. This is where I find that ice breakers are really a good strategy for first day of class.

Keep up the good work!

I always get students to each have a topic within that group that they mush teach to the other students. This way it reinforces their knowledge of it and everyone shares the problem equally.

i find that groups can give the student a chance to work with each other and learn to deal with different personallity types and different ideas and ways to look at things

we all have slow and fast learning students, we can help both by grouping them up and letting them work together

to assign groups it will help the slow learner excel and understanding will be greater faster. As we all have slow and fast learning students, we can help both sets of learners the strong will help the slow and this will help them strengthen what they already know for the strong and will help the slow ones understand also.

True but monitoring will help reduce this possibility
