small groups lead to big results. i keep groups to no more than 3 to a group. This maintains intimacy and reduces the opportunities for conflict to overcome the group.

I've found that the small groups allow less active students to become an active participant in the class. I've also found more topics are brought up for discussion that wouldn't have been if not for the small groups.

Great point you make here regarding groups. One of the reasons I like to use them is that it does help all students to have an opportunity to be involved & participate.
