Learning from classmates

I have found that some students learn within groups. I have been teaching for 23 years and have found that small groups are very effective in some situations.

I agree with you. I like 3-4 students. Each student in that small of number can easily participate and be heard.

I tend to agree. But I like smaller groups than the recommended 5-6 that is listed in this learning module. I find that with that many it's easy for one or two students to sit back and not participate.

Yes, groups can be a powerful method for learning for certain learners & certain situations. As you implied, it is not necessarily the only way to learn, we always want to have a variety.
