Organizing student learning groups:

I have always been using student groups organization as a power tool for peer to peer learning. Learning these steps and methods will definitely enhance my teaching with my students, monitoring the class will make it more effective, learning how exactly to do it without intimidated the students when I am next to them. That was always my concern. Student can take it the wrong way and not realized that you have their best interest at heart. I know now how to make each student know that I respect them as an individual and aware of there presence and want the best for them.

I have to have groups about 3/4 of my classes. Because we are working on transfering instruments and set up there is always a group of 2-3 that need to be together. Every day I change it so that they get a feel for different working teams. The students like to choose their own partner but I feel as though that is the least effective. So Everyday I choose a different way how I am going to team them up. I go by the order they walk through the door, the students attitudes the day before, who ever comes to my mind in an order, and then I treat them to teaming up with their choice here and there.
