new way to reach students
what type of learner are they
I have culinary students that are different ages, various ethnic backgrounds & languages & especially comprehension/retention. I am able to figure each one out on day 1 & then I just focus on the individual needs while including instruction & execution for the whole class. It's great & I love the progress students achieve!
It is imperative to determine the learning style of each student that instructors encounter. What abilities do they bring to the class, what motivates every student to stay in the class and not drop out, and what experiences they have to draw upon. An instructor can then take the aforementioned attributes and write a course outline in order to 'reach' all their students. Every student brings into the classroom abilities and experience allowing them to draw upon therefore keeping motivation high and contageous. When faculty and other students expand on abilities and past experiences learning occurs at a significant rate.
