don't neglect B player
Absolute right thing he told in video.Every body focus on star student, actually try to convert B players into A player
I try to encourage my stars to help my other students after they have completed their projects because some students feel like they have to weld as good as the instructor, with a student helping it takes the pressure off where thy can relax and learn quicker.
Leigh,
yes often we can focus on the stars or those who are really struggling & forget that group that we could call the moveable middle. They have great potential for moving up & being stars, they just need a little more help.

I've found that using your stars to elevate the status of your C-D-F students helps tremendously. It keeps the A-players from getting bored and builds relationships that helps the less successful students become b-players. That allows the instructor to concentrate on bringing the B-players to A-status.
I was happy to be reminded of this, we all have are guilty of this at one time or another. I am making a more conscious effort to move more around the room during lab and maintain eye contact with ALL students during lecture. These modules have been so helpful!
I agree, you have to make sure that you keep an eye on all students, make sure that you treat all students with the knowledge that they know you are there to assist them in achieve their goals.
