I have not had to deal with this issue yet, but if and when I do this course has helped me understand better how to help teach them.
I have had minimal exposure to this issue. Most of my students speak English and their native language fluently. However, as instructors I feel that we should become familiar with the type of students we will encounter to avoid any language issues.
I haven't encountered it either, as far as a second language, but I have noticed that a lot of my students have trouble with pronouncing terms and/or not knowing the words in the text. A lot of times I don't realize they don't understand until I hear them mispronounce the word and dramatically change the meaning of the vocabulary term.
I must agree. I have not encountered this challenge. However, I am participating in different forums and webinars to gain knowledge just in case I have a situation like this.
I felt the same way. I have not encountered this problem yet, but am better informed now after taking this.
