We are called upon to motivate and take the time out to help those that have other learning obstacles present, i.e English as a second language and adult learners with a limited vocabulary.

this is great & always remembering that the struggle (generally) is not a learning disability, but the fact that they are often studying complex subjects in a secondary language.

I have a number of Asian and Hispanic students, learning English. Whenever I can, I tell them how proud of them I am, that they've taken on this college experience, and I call on them regularly to read aloud, and let them know no matter how slowly they go, they're doing fine!
