Diversity
All of our classrooms are diverse. Not only with cultural diversity, but with learning diversity. the more encompassed classroom we create, the better our success rates will be. As an instructor we must respect this diversity and include it in all of our classrooms.
It is critical as instructors to embrace the diversity of the student population. Our students have different racial and cultural backgrounds, generational gap differences, and learning style differences. Therefore, we must adjust our teaching strategies to meet the changing needs of our students.
Embracing cultural diversity in the classroom lets students see their careers from other viewpoints. Learning diversity usually takes care of itself in the classroom as the different groups of students pair up. If I don't see this by the third class, I will steer the students but it is usually not necessary.
