Students with learning disabilities
All students are capable of learning. Obviously, when one has certain challenges, it requires the instructor to be creative in ways to meet the student where they are.
Jiba,
and when we demonstrate that patience, the student is much more likely to come to us for help when they need it.

I agree. You must also be patient with the student as well. The combination of creativity and patience helps make the student more comfortable in the class. I've found that the student who is comfortable in the class environment becomes a much more successful student.
Scott,
yes, getting them to open up & our demonstrating to them that we want to help them is a key to helping them be successful.
Ryan Meers, Ph.D.
Students with disabilities need to have material presented in a way that works best for them. Their success is dependent upon how the lessons are presented and their confidence in themselves.
