I believe there are probably quite a few.Although there are so many resources available to them. I believe they don't want to draw attention to themselves.This probably stems from their childhood days when they had to attend resource classes Teachers did not have the information they now have concerning dyslexia.
I wonder how many adult learners are hindered because they are afraid to self-advocate regarding any learning disabilities they may have?
...and with the knowledge of what worked before, and how it can be applied to the current course of instruction.
One of thoe most important parts of this type of situation, is to intiate and then maintain an active flow of communication from the student in question, as well as back from the Instructor.
