Learning diabilities

We are called upon to be compassionate and adapt our instructional methods to ensure that a student with a learning disablity understands the material.

both my children had speech delays, so I became educated in how to teach them at a young age - one is a visual learner, the other, auditory. It gave me a skill set I cherish and share w/students as needed, am finding a few students each year w/dyslexia, or who stutter, and I have a special compassion/patience with them for sure. They do well, and I expect great things.

Marvis,
yes & maintaining that level of compassion is key to being willing to adapt & help.
