I find that when you engage students with each learning style it makes other students realize that you may be able to help them understand in a different manner as well, causing them to ask more questions and get involved in discussions.
Lanny,
And your lesson plans include ways to be responsive the differing styles?

James,
You are probably recharged by knowing that students are learning?
Ron Hansen, Ed. D.
Yes I agree, I work with students in a welding shop and I have to find creative ways to get each one to try different things to get the same outcome. Not all students learn the same and some students prefer to work alone. I have to give them the same attention but I have to recognize when they prefer to left alone. I will follow up and make sure they don't need additional help through out the day.
Teaching to the different learning styles does bring enthusiasm to the classroom
We use a product that allows the individual student to recognize their preferred style of learning. After this discovery a common response is " WOW, that's ME!!"
Teaching in different styles not only helps the individual learner it also creates enthusiasm in the classroom.
ROB,
It can be effective for the success of each individual student. The byproduct is a more rewarding experience for all.
