The Learning Process
It was beneficial to refresh my memory on the different ways the brain process new information.
Wendy,
Glad to hear the content has been informative to you. After many years in the field and having done a lot of research on cognitive processing I feel I still know very little about how people learn. This is what makes teaching so much fun. I get to be creative and explore how to be an more effective instructor so I never get bored with teaching the same content over and over.

I, too, found the information about the learning process fascinating. None of this was discussed in grad school oh so many years ago. I don't know if it was overlooked or just not discovered at the time. This may be my thing to learn today. If, as adults, we learn 400 things a year, that's just about 1 a day. Cool.
Toufik,
I also found the section on the stages of brain development interesting. I instruct in the online environment and all of my students are adult learners who are in the maturity stage. I have found the discussion on addition of the cultural dimension to be true and strongly influences the learning process.
All the best,
Randi Plante
Toufik,
Good to hear. It seems that there is new information being brought out about cognitive processing on a regular basis. This information can help us to be more efficient and effective in our instructional delivery.
