Lop-sided classroom

Hate it when in a small class you have a group of visual learners and one tactile learner, its a task to teach to a group like this and keep all interested in the material....

Kevin,
This is a very logical approach to instructional planning and delivery. This way you know you are going to get your material covered and your students will have the opportunity to learn via a number of different learning options.

I think the best approach is to ignore a physical count of how many students are in each different learner stype group and concentrate on the types of learning in the classroom. It doesn't matter if it's one person or ten, the fact a different learning style is present is the important thing.

I agree, it can be difficult. I try very hard to think about the different learning styles. I'll say something, and write it on the board and maybe even find it in thier book to highlight. Hopeing to catch most of them with one of the learning styles.

Daniel,
So true. The challenges of such a mix taxes our creativity for sure.
