Connecting Students Need to their Learning
Student learn better when we connect their learning needs to their life styles
As we read in the previous units, only a fraction of the information we are exposed to actually gets remembered beyond 24 hours. The more connections the instructor creates for the student, the more likely they are to be interested in the material and therefore retain it.
The goal is for the student to be able to leave the course with new information/skills that they can apply to their chosen field. By connecting the theory to the practice, this is more likely.
