Self Improvement
I have notice that since I have been teaching a course on critical thinking. I have become more aware of my self-talk and my though process. This helps with instructions. I am able to disclose personal experiences to help the students in recognizing that to think critically is a process and it evolves as we all learn.
Ann Marie,
Like the methods you are using with your own professional development. By being aware of how you want to improve your instructional abilities and then refining those abilities you will have a pattern of growth that will yield great rewards for you.

Hi, I have been teaching critical thinking for a while and I learn from myself talking and processing my thoughts as I assist students with their questions. My self improvement is mostly related to not talking to fast, not assuming students know the terms I use and asking students for their feedback during and after each lecture and class period and I add their critical thinking ideas and suggestions
Sharon,
This is a good strategy to follow in refining critical thinking skills. Thanks for sharing this with us. I know it will be beneficial to other instructors.
