How can we achieve good results from people if they do not gone through situations that would have assisted them in the thinking process to solve problems?

This method is very proactive and can be useful in identifying the weaker students who may need extra help.

Sue,
I like the way you are showing your students the results of their efforts. This reinforces the necessity for accuracy as you have mentioned. Some times students don't realize that the reason you are teaching them a procedure or process and demand accuracy is the good of a patient not just a course requirement.

Teaching the student dental Radiology (x-rays), they need to achieve an accurate x-rays. This is very important in their training. If the x-ray is not done correctly it will make it difficult for the doctr to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the correct procedure for the patient.

Hello Anneke,
As it pertains to my field of education (culinary)
achieving poor results is often more beneficial to the student. For instance, understanding heat application and actually burning something can give the student a good point of reference.

Anneke,
Start them with easier problems then move up.
