Problem Solving Resources
Technical resources is what i have used from time to time to allow students to look up the topic of discussion on their mobile devises and i then go around the room to discuss their findings and then as a class we analyze the results, then apply our daily recipes to what they found and problem solve so we can find a solution. I then ask them to compare the technique to their own cooking skills. The next lecture day everyone does a self assessment of what worked and what did not.
This is a wonderful idea.
Pattara,
Right you are in relation to the value of technology and the uses it has with students today. What great learning opportunities there are that we can take advantage of and share with our students.

In the food service industry, we do have many useful apps that we can incorporate into classroom settings. Using technology in the classroom is a great way to gap the bridge between younger learners and adult learners.
Great idea! I will definitely incorporate this into my classroom. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with using mobile devices during class. This is a great idea. Thanks!

I have used the reputable Apps like Micromedex and allowed students to use them for immediate referances for their quetions and discussed the information from books to help problem solving during administering meds. It has seemed to work in getting their time management skills.
