Frustration
Frustrated Students, can create loss of control of your class, which can result in a large gripe session..
es Al , for sure its hard to control the students when they are unhappy. They feeel that their concerns should be heard first, and dealt with on there terms.Unfortunatly we have other students to manage and we need to get on with our daily routine of instruction.
What i try to do is find what the problem is quickly.Find out if i am moving to fast,or not
being more detailed.Adjust and move forward.
Yup, and we can't use valuable class time to deal with one individuals personal problems. It's best to defuse the situation and try to help the individual either before or after class.
For the most part i find student frustration often stems from outside concerns. Talking one on one with the student to find the cause is key.
If someone gets frustrated they can't work affectively. Can't learn when frustrated either. Find the cause and work on it.
I agree, it is our responsibility to to let the students know we care about them.
