One of my biggest daily challenges is student retention due to external distractions. As a Program Director and instructor I make it appoint to sit with student I see struggling with attendance and mentor them in how to manage their time and give study tips that will help them with their attention span so as not to become to distracted from studying or coming to class. We also implement the 20/20/10 lecture process which provides the students with 20mins lecture a 20 min activity to reinforce what they have just learned and a 10 min discussion to make sure everyone understands
