students involved

What the best way to get all students involved?

Hi Craig,
I like student presentations as well. They really help to engage students as well as increase their knowledge of the field due to the presentation preparations. It is a win win for everyone.

I would certainly have to agree with this as I have done the same thing many times. When students give presentations, I encourage each of them to do the presentation on something that is interesting to them but that will still involve the subject matter. The whole class learns new material and they usually learn something abotu the presenter that they didn't know before. Presentations also helps in that some students who may be introverted suddenly find that others find their presentations interesting. They become more involved with the class this way.

Hi Melvin,
I have found that if I put the students into learning groups and give them case studies or problems to solve everyone gets involved. In a small group even the shy students participate and this build their confidence to the point that they start contributing in the general classroom setting.
Have each student so some form of a presentation or demonstration. This are confidence builders as well.
