Age Diversity and Returning Vets...
Many students are returning military veterns of diverse ages and relating their military experience to classroom experience is a tool that enables the vet to adapt to civilian classwork.
I feel education is always a great tool! Students come to school to learn!

I have had a number of these individuals in my classes and you make a good point about how we need to understand their previous experiences in light of their current successes. This will be of great support to these students and their future.

It is possible also that some returning Vets may have challenges with disabilities. Having them in class brings real insight to their drive and desire to get on with their civilian role.
I believe that a student being able to relate real life to school is a great any student. It really helps them both understand and want to learn more.

Yes, it is. I just finished a class with one third of the students being returning military. They brought so much to the class and really motivated the younger students that did not have the world view that they possess.
