Use case studies and role playing. The case studies lets them use their life experiences to solve problems while you are acting as a coach. This way your age becomes less important and your experience more important. Role playing lets the students see situations from different perspectives and that reinforces how they will see the course content.

What are some specific examples that you might recommend or use? This topic is definitely one that I am always in need of improving upon because my adult learners have, at times, pegged me as too young to teach them anything.
I have found that creating assignments that the student can actually experience a change in their own body, mind, life helps to promote continued attention and desire to learn. Making it personal and having information that they can actually use and see results is key.
