younger relating to older
i am 25 teaching almost up to 60 year olds, i have not had any problems though
I find my older students more serious about the courses they are taking. They want to show me they can succeed. They do all their work in a timely manner, study for tests and quizzes, and are always on-time and present. My younger students have a different perspective on the class. ( in most cases anyway) They seem to think " I am paying for this class,so I should be allowed to do what I want as long as my grades are good". Not such a good way to start off your young life; because that is not how the working field really is once you get there.
Jeffrey,
The key when teaching students older than you is to demonstrate that you are a person that has the experience and expertise to be a learning leader. It is obvious you have demonstrated this because of the way you relate to your students, no matter their age.
