empowerment

always empower your students they will feel better and take more ownership.

A way that student's can be and feel empowered is by working in groups. They can learn from each other which can increase interest in the course and in the school. The hope is that interest will motivate the student to complete the course successfully.

One way that I give empowerment --- a way to show them what they have learned ---- Each week at the end of class, I ask them to say one thing they have learned new this week. Since it is mostly a lecture class, it gives them a way to interact as well. After we have gone around the room and asked each student to reply with a different answer I reinforce the fact that they learned so many new things.

Letting your students have empowerment. will help them give suggestion in the real world.

Hi Shantana,
Well said. All of the things you listed are essential to the growth of each student. Keep up the good work.

Not only that but empowering your students gives them a challenge. Students grow by being challenge and driven. Letting them take the lead and assist them as they work through different challenges is how they grow and learn.

I agree, students need to take ownership of their situation so they can learn, grow, and feel better that they have some control.
