This is a great service to offer students. Many students lack the study skills and/or background to successful in a class at the beginning. Through tutoring you are assisting them in moving forward with the course and their career goals. This is what makes being an educator fun.

When you are also a tutor as well as a teacher, you will always run into students with learning difficulties. This is a great opportunity to understand the challenges your students have in lecture. I find that offering tutoring to every student will empower them to overcome these difficulties in a safe and empathetic environment.
