Equality of student focus
I find that it can be very easy to get in a position of putting too much focus on one particular student especially if that student requires extra time. This tends to upset the other students in the class. Solutions?
I too make myself available whenever possible before or after class. I find that this is just as useful to me as it is the student. It allows me to find new ways to relate the information in a much more focused environment.
I find the same as well, but have found that when I talk to the student one-on-one they do understand. I normally then have the student come before/after class to meet with me individually and determine their concerns.
Hi Jennifer,
Plan your help on a rotational basis. That is make sure you spend some time with each student, even if it is just for a few seconds. That way each student will know you are aware of where they are at in their progress and that you are there to support them in anyway possible.
