Keeping the focus on student achievement and goals is the outcome for any instructor. It is so important for students to understand the key elements in staying focused in class. This is achieved through the instructor giving insightful information that students will come to appreciate.
Good post Nadine, but how do you keep it interesting for 30 students who are at various levels in your class?
You have to keep the it interesting or you will loose your students. I always bring life situtations into play afer a little while.

Right you about with your comments concerning the need for making sure the students know what the requirements and expectations are for the course. This really helps them to stay focused on the knowledge and skills they are acquiring throughout the duration of the course.
