student rapport
Developing a good rapport with your student is important for a good student to teacher relationship. This will give those students a great learning environment for a better learning experience.
Hi Christopher,
Right you are. This is one of the real big payoffs of teaching. Student relationships which lead to rapport can be for life. Seeing one of your graduates being successful in your field and knowing you played a part in that success is what it is all about.

Not only will it give the students a better learning experience, it will also make it more fun for us, the instructors. With rapport comes a stronger connection with each student, which will drive us to do our best for them.
Sometimes, it is hard to establish rapport with problem students after the fact. That is something that we must try to do on a regular basis from the first day.
I find that if you have a good rapport with your students they are also more apt to participate in class discussion and exercises. They dont feel as intimidated and feel like the teacher cares what they have to say.
