Student Feedback
I love the idea of having the students write down a summary of what they have learned at the midpoint of the class term. This will give me a sense of accomplishment and direction going into the second half of the term. This will also give the students a chance to reflect on what they have actually learned.
i love actually engadging the student with thier feedback because it lets them feel like the have a say in what they will be learning.

It is a "pause point" for reflection and the benefits are just what you describe. This is a very good exercise to introduce into your classes.

We need to know if our students are learning the materials presented. We ask for feedback. I like to come up with new ways for them to present the materials.
That is an awesome idea Timothy. I think I'm going to implement that strategy in my upcoming classes.
