enpowering students and refocusing

with my experince as an instructor in the past i have controlled my class and i learned that if you teach and guide your students you can teach them responsibility and enpower them by letting share what they have learned.

Laurie,
I am excited for you and I welcome you to our profession. With your enthusiasm and passion for your field you are going to do fine. As you develop expertise as an educator you will be able to expand your abilities to interact and connect with your students and help them move toward successful futures. This is what teaching is all about!

I am a new instructor and very excited about this new adventure in my life. I hope thay my excitement will "rub off" on the students. I look forward to sharing with them and empowering them to learn and be enthusiastic about their future career

Sherry,
I am a big fan of role playing and I think this strategy helps all students to become a part of the class. Thank you for sharing this strategy with us.

I have used enpowering the students through role play where one is the patient and the other is the nurse and they have to ask and answer questions on a specific topic we have disucssed.Through this method they have to research and tech others in the class as well. They seem to retain more information this way than me doing all the talking.
