I really enjoyed this section, and with nursing students I can really have an impact on this type of case study and surprises through in. This will make for a more fun and upbeat experience.

Students as you know really like it when their instructors share stories from the field. They perk up and start to see the value of the content being shared since the stories illustrate how application of content is made and why it is important to their career development.

I have been able to use "war games" from memories & experiences in the military to illustrate points in nursing student lectures. this is a "surprise in that the stories are funny, provocative or gut wrenching. They are not expected and swerve away from the didactic lecture.

I know you are going to have fun coming up with the case studies due to your extensive experience in the field and how you are going to make the case studies a part of the learning experience of your students. You are going to have good results by using this method of learning.
