OTA college students

I returned to college in my mid-forties for a degree in business, and believe I got much more out of the college experience the second time. Thus, I feel comfortable with the different ages of students; or different generations. I realize the value of their learning styles and how very much they differ; there definitely is a difference in the definition of "patience" in the generations--my challenge--one I enjoy is working to comingle my teaching style to be effective to the different generations.

I agree, as I also started school late (waiting until 40th before enrolling. This is helping my teenage daughters to understanding the time of committment will be required when the go to college.

I love non-traditional students. I was one as well, returning to school with two small children at 28 was the smartest thing I ever did...and one of the hardest. Being able to relate to where my students are coming from and to show by my example that it can be done has come in handy many times.
