Motivating your students.

To motivate students instructors should always be positive, incourage student, letting them know that they can do it and to keep positive thoughts about the subject matter. Using words like good job, excellent, and I know you could do it always work for my students. If the instructor is positive then the student will also be psoitive.

I agree to this. The attitude of the instructor always sets the tone for the class. If i walk in the room in a good cheerful mood they all seem to be smiling and more energetic about class. Positive feedback makes anyone feel good regardless of what there role is. Getting grades back in a timely manner is also an important key.

I agree, I get the students motivated by assigning mini groups to perform hands on tasks in the classroom.

There are many ways to motivate a student, but I agree being positive and be encouraging are the two most important factors in keeping students motivated. Allowing the students to express themselves, and apply personal experiance also are helpful in keeping students excited about the course content

I think it is importrat to stay positive - often students come to class after a long day at work - - a smiling face can go a long way

I always as well try and be happy and uplifted in the class and to encourage my students they can be successful and that knowledge is power!

I try to stay busy with my students,Ive noticed in the past if you work with them,They learn more about the trade they are about to enter.

Students remain motivated if they are actively participating in their learning. I encourage open forum discussion to ramp up student participation.
