o What is a couple of ways that you use to motivate your students to achieve and be successful in regards to their career goals?
Keep the classroom enviroment exciting. Let them know what its truly like out in the feild. The topic we discuss in the classroom they will take to the feild and apply what they learned. I talk about the money they can make. The skys the limit.
A couple of ways to motivate your students would be to share real life success stories and personal accounts, bring in guest speakers to discuss current events in the field, take them on a field trip to expose them to the field.
I find that allowing students to discuss life experiences help motivates students increasing sucess.
I try to share personal stories of both triumph and tribulation/tenacity. If all they hear is success they might doubt their ability to be successful. But if they can hear stories of defeat and/or tenacity amidst great odds, I think that inspires them more.
I try to do the good things that they do good first then let them know about my concerns and how can i help them over come them so that they can have a say on how to get to where they need to be. I try to get them involved.
