This is a hard one since every acts and takes thinks diffrent. So we have to approch everyone diffrent.
Show how important and exiciting the field that they are in from experiences

Most students want to succeed, but I've had a few in my years that were hard to get through too, and you know what, those turned out to be the best students in the end! I've had a few students take my class 2 or 3 times, and finally 'get it', those same students have come to me semesters later saying 'thank you for not giving up on them.' Then they ask if they can show me their projects for other classes or for a job. Its the coolest thing in the world to feel!!!!
