motivate students!!
Im a New instructor and will like some advice to motivate my student in class.
I agree that different instruction will motivate the students.I have the students do group work, presentations of current articles related to the class plan for the week, application of the content taught through demonstrations such as drawings, games etc. Also,I divide a lesson of the week among the students and have them "teach "or present to the class.I love the idea of the Crisis Game and I will use this in my medical class.
Hi Niles,
Good suggestions. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Motivation depends upon engagement and engagement depends on instructional delivery that is exciting.

Motivate with different instruction...keep them on their toes, by calling them out via name in class discussions. Bring poster boards and materials and let them be creative and have them discuss the chapters within groups and the class.
Hi Gerardo,
First, be prepared and organized. This helps to set the stage for a successful class. Bring excitement and enthusiasm for your field into the classroom. Have variety and change a pace as a part of your instructional delivery. Work hard to earn the respect of your students and develop rapport with them as quickly as possible and you will be on your way to motivating them.
