Getting the enite class excited can be contagious its like staing a small fire in the class it might slowly take time but then it erupts and it a kind of passionate fire you want too see take over everything. get them excited get them to remind them selves of why they choose to come to classs everyday.
I also agree with Andre and James. I also teach in a culinary college. Passion is what brought them here and it is what drives them to pursue their dreams and aspirations. When a student realizes he now has new skills and can take his education to a new level it re-energizes him to become better and to again learn more. It is a never ending process.
Agreeing with Andre, teaching in a culinary setting. Getting the student to understand when and why something is done is very important. when that light bulb turns on for one the whole class starts to pick it up and then the passion of why they starting coming is reignited.
