Let your students know where ther at at all times!
I let my students know their grade at the
end of each class (they can see their performance
on tests, homework, quiz's, class participation,
etc.)
This is done on a real time basis, individually.
This fact let's them know what they need to know
to keep their grade or improve it.
It is important to provide the students with immediate feedback. Returning papers or tests the following class period allows the students to reflect on and correct their mistakes while the content is still current.
I agree. It's inportant to let students know where they are at in your class. I use and online grading program that allows the student to look up their grades on line and see how they are doing in the class. They really love this program. Their test are done online and graded on line. They know how they did on a test right away.
Feed back to each student is imperative on a weekly basis, to allow them to adjust and to understand just what they will be required of them in order to succeed.
