Motivation in sharing your career options and why you chose that area are very important in teaching especially in the nursing field.

Guest speakers make the content come alive that you have shared with your students. They validate that the content you are sharing with them will help them be successful in the field. I use them a lot in my classes.

I also find that when we have a guest speaker in the class, it brings the field experience in the class.

I agree with these comments. We need to help students to see the value of what they are being taught as well as the opportunities that are going to come their way upon graduation if they have the knowledge and expertise.

I believe that motivation is key to any act. By me being motivated about what I do I endeavor to do so in such a way as to bring about a self-motivation in my students. By getting the students to buy into the materials and see it's usefulness students tend to catch the fire towards the desired outcomes...Paul T. Rougemont
