Motivation
I believe motivation comes from the instructor although the students need motivation whithin themselves also. When the are excited about waht there learning and going to be doing it motivates them to succeed and work hard.
Motivation is extremely important for evening class students. Instructors must continue to find ways to motivate students to come to class. Especially in Career schools where time is limited.
Motivation and support! Motivation without support is like a train without its tracks, wasted energy.
You're motivation, like everything else, must provide a purpose - a sense of reality to the students for them to buy-in.
I agree that motivation is an intricate part of teaching. Students feel that they are important when the instructor employs motivational strategies.
