Motivating Your Students

In order to motivate our students we must try different strategies to pull them in; and to make learning fun and memorable for our students. Motivation comes from within, but we must ignite the fuel to get them to have a passion for learning.

Kimberly,
Thanks for sharing the websites with us. I know they are going to be of help to other instructors.

I too have found fun ways to incorporate additional resources into my lessons to make it meaningful and everlasting. I use several website with my students as an educator with students ranging from elementary-high school.

Here are websites that I use to play games for the students to remember the information:

http://www.pppst.com/templates.html

http://jc-schools.net/tutorials/PPT-games/

I also use movies as it relate to the topics of the course; along with technology websites and hands on activities to help students retain information.

Are there any other resources out there that's available? Please respond back. Thank you. I hope these websites provided as well as additional information help you to motivate your students.

Ashley,
This is one of the fun parts of being an educator. We get to explore and be creative in our delivery and then we get to see the results immediately through the interest of our students.

As educators, we need to find creative ways to make even the most boring topics seem fun and interesting. I have found that coming up with games (jeopardy, hang man, etc) are fun ways to introduce not so fun topics.
