My Motivating Prof
It appeared to be a boring class, but one that was required: "Learning to enjoy literature". The first day we sat there --quiet, reserved, stoic-- waiting for class to begin. "Let's get started", boomed the long haired man as he jumped up on a chair to take attendance. And so it began! He loved teaching and he loved literature. He instilled that fire in us and it wasn't long before we were swept up in his enthusiasm. The classes kept getting better, but all too soon--it was over. I'll never forget that motivation factor and the best class I ever took. Thanks Prof.
Thats very interesting, what exactly motivated you about him? is there anything in particular that you would like to share?

Russell,
Thank you for sharing this example of great teaching from an unexpected source. The name of the course alone set the stage for boredom. Your professor chose to not let that happen with all of you students. Now you have a life long model to follow in your own teaching style.
