Positive Reinforcement
As humans in general, we all appreciate a little positive reinforcement in all of our efforts. This is especially important with students as an instructor because it instills a sense of confidance in them and keeps them motivated to keep working even harder.

Good for you because I know it is tough. It is at times like this I have to step back and reflect on the good students I have and the impact I have had on their lives and then I am good to go for another class.

I find that sometimes it's hard to want to positively reinforce students when they are demotivated and borderline belligerent about learning, which only creates a vicious cycle. At times like those, I force myself to find the good side of a situation with students, even if it's "This is great experience!" just to keep myself positive so I can break the cycle.
Another imperative for success. As motivators must constantly provide positive feedback that will engage the student to see where there are and where they can be.
Positive reinforcement is important for student motivation and retention.

This is an important point to remember as we deal with non-traditional adult learners. They need to reinforcement so they can feel that they have the abilities to be successful in the course if they put forth the effort.

This is so true positive reinforcement is a very helpful took in student motivation. Often we focus on what student do wrong rather than the things they do well.

Getting positive reinforcement from a role model-a teacher- can give the students the motivation they need to succeed in their chosen field.
We have to remember how easy it is for our students to get down on themselves, even when they my not show it outwardly, we need to be ble to see that and keep them inspired.
