Rapid response time is very important. Students want to know if their hard work is paying off. By providing rapid response it gives the student the opportunity to adjust their study habbits right away in order to make needed improvements. It gives them the opportunity to ask questions on the subject matter that they might be having trouble with before moving forward with a different subject matter.
