Graduates
Would you find that graduates would serve as good motivators to currently enrolled students?
Noreen,
This is such a great way to increase student engagement. Hearing from completing students or recent graduates helps to sell the content you are offering to your students.

I use last term students, those who are about to graduate, as well as past graduates who are passionate about their career and their place of employment as a motivator. I have students talk about why the course and courses are necessary for their personal success. This help with not only program retention, but course retention.
I think that graduates would serve as good motivators. We have a job wall of fame in the hallway for past graduates who have moved on and received job offers. This motivates the students because they envision themselves in that position. We have past students that are even part time instructors.
MICHAEL,
That is why I try to make every graduation I can. What a wonderful and inspiring day it is for everyone. To see the graduates walk the platform and how it impacts them and their families makes all the effort well worth it.

Graduation, to me, is probably my most revered part of the instruction process. To see my student progress from the moment they entered my class to the completion of their studies and receiving their certificates is very inspiring to their myself and their peers.
Kenia,
Yes they are great motivators. I bring in recent graduates and have them share both their experiences as students and now workers in their field. The information they share helps students to see the value of the course content and why it is relevant to their career development.
